About Veliero
Named for a boat, built like one.
Veliero is Italian for “sailboat” — something built with nothing extra, shaped entirely by what it needs to do. That’s the standard we hold a garment to.
We started Veliero because too much of what’s sold as “custom” is really just alteration — a stock garment nudged closer to fitting, rather than one built for a specific body from the first cut. The difference shows up in the shoulder, the collar, the way a jacket sits when you sit down.
Every commission still runs through the same discipline: measurements taken by hand, a pattern drafted specifically for you, a fitting to correct it against your actual body, and construction chosen to match how often you’ll actually wear the piece — not upsold regardless.
We work by appointment, Sunday – Thursday 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM and Friday 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, so every fitting gets full attention rather than a slot between walk-ins.
