Our Craft
Construction, explained honestly.
Terms like “full canvas” get thrown around a lot. Here's what they actually mean, and what you're paying for at each tier.
Fused
Fusible interlining bonded to the cloth for structure. Clean, lightweight, and the most accessible way into a Veliero garment.
Standard Half Canvas
A floating canvas through the chest, fused elsewhere — the traditional balance most tailoring houses build their core range on.
High-End Half Canvas
The same half-canvas structure, built with a heavier horsehair blend for a softer, more natural lapel roll.
Full Canvas
A floating canvas from collar to hem, hand-padstitched to the cloth. This is the construction most bespoke houses consider their standard.
Half Handmade
Full canvas construction with hand-set sleeves and a hand-finished lapel — visible in how the jacket moves with you, not just how it looks still.
Full Handmade
Entirely hand-padstitched and hand-finished, down to hand-cut buttonholes. Our most exacting construction, for those who want to feel the difference.
Not sure which is right for you?
We’ll recommend a construction based on how often you’ll wear the garment and what you’re using it for — not the other way around.
